UPS, ATS & Switchgear Supplier Coverage
The ATS decides whether a generator saves the crop or trips the controls; the UPS bridges the transfer gap for climate computers and hydroponic PLCs. SeedMatchGroup screens UPS, ATS and low-voltage switchgear manufacturers against the electrical system, load characteristics and coordination requirements of each project. Specifications and quotes are released only through the RFQ flow.
Private sourcing platform. Supplier identities, datasheets, price bands and lead times are released only through the RFQ flow — no public supplier directory.
Coverage & Capabilities
What the screened network covers. Buyer briefs are matched against the full field of qualified manufacturers.
Double-conversion (online), line-interactive and standby topologies matched to load criticality; online is the default for climate computers and controllers.
Open, closed and delayed transition ATS in three- or four-pole configurations, sized for withstand and closing rating (WCR), not just running current.
Low-voltage main and sub-distribution boards, motor control centres and metering panels coordinated with the ATS and generator.
Selectivity study, arc-flash analysis and protection coordination between utility, generator, ATS, UPS and downstream loads.
IP-rated enclosures, tropicalised finishes and ambient derating for pump houses, plant rooms and outdoor kiosks.
Factory acceptance test documentation and on-site commissioning under real load required from shortlisted suppliers.
Screening & Qualification
How suppliers enter and stay in the screened network.
Written interface specification between ATS, generator, UPS and inverter suppliers required before shortlisting — administrative failures cause most commissioning problems.
IEC 60947, IEC 62040 or regional equivalents required as applicable.
Defined response times, spare parts stock and remote diagnostic capability reviewed during qualification.

FAQ
- Why does the ATS pole count matter?
- Four-pole ATS switch the neutral in addition to the phases and are mandatory whenever generator and utility have separately derived neutrals — otherwise ground-fault protection cannot see faults correctly.
- Do I still need a UPS if I have a fast ATS?
- Yes for any load that cannot tolerate the 40–200 ms open-transition gap — climate computers, PLCs, dosing controllers and IP networking all belong on a UPS.
