How we produce, verify and correct our content

SeedMatch Group publishes planning and procurement information for commercial agricultural projects. These policies define what we will claim, what we will not claim, where our facts come from and how errors get fixed. They apply to every guide, country page, calculator and answer on this site.

Editorial policy

Content is produced by the SeedMatch Group editorial team to help commercial buyers plan and procure agricultural projects. It is planning information, not professional advice.
Every substantive page states what it covers, the variables that change the answer, what it does not settle and who must review the decision before the project commits.
We do not publish content whose purpose is to rank rather than to inform, and we do not create separate pages for trivial keyword variations.
We do not write content on behalf of a supplier, and no supplier can buy editorial coverage, placement or a favourable comparison.
Pages carry a publication or material-update date. Pages we can no longer stand behind are corrected, consolidated or removed from indexing.

Agronomic claims policy

SeedMatch Group does not issue crop plans, variety recommendations, nutrition programmes or plant-protection advice. Those are decisions for a qualified independent agronomist with knowledge of the site.
Agronomic information is published as context for procurement, never as a prescription for a specific field, greenhouse or season.
Performance depends on environment, management, disease pressure, water quality, planting date and local agronomic conditions.
We do not publish a single universal yield, planting density, crop cycle, water requirement, shelf life or disease-resistance figure. Where ranges are shown, the conditions that produced them are stated.

Seed and variety claims policy

SeedMatch Group is not a breeder, seed producer or rights holder and does not certify seed.
For a named variety we publish only verifiable items: the breeder or rights holder, authorisation status, variety type, officially stated traits, the trial context, the relevant climate or system, commercial availability status, and the source and date.
A breeder's potential-performance figure is not an expected commercial result and is never presented as one.
We do not reproduce protected variety documentation or standards texts unlawfully; we link to the rights holder or standards body instead.
The selected exporter and buyer are responsible for required seed documentation and import approvals. SeedMatch Group may help coordinate information but does not issue certificates or regulatory approvals.

Greenhouse engineering and irrigation content policy

Project-specific agronomy and engineering are provided by the selected qualified independent professionals and contractors. SeedMatch Group gathers requirements, structures the pre-RFQ brief and coordinates independent proposals; it does not design greenhouses, specify crop plans, select varieties or deliver construction.
Structural, hydraulic, electrical and climate designs are produced and stamped by licensed professionals appointed by the project. Nothing on this site is a design, a load calculation or a hydraulic model.
Where design standards or load cases are mentioned, the applicable local code governs and must be confirmed by the project engineer.
Equipment capacities cited from manufacturer documentation are attributed and dated, and reference conditions are stated where the manufacturer states them.

Calculator methodology

Calculators are first-party planning tools. They produce indicative screening figures for comparison and budgeting, never quotations, designs or guaranteed outcomes.
Each calculator states its inputs, the method it applies and its limitations. Water demand tools follow the FAO-56 ETo and crop-coefficient approach.
Results depend entirely on the inputs supplied. Regional defaults are provided only to make a first pass possible and must be replaced with site data before procurement.
We do not invent benchmarks to make a tool produce a complete answer. Where a required input is unknown, the tool says so instead of assuming a number.

Supplier review methodology

Suppliers are independent companies. We record the role each declares — breeder, authorised producer, licensee, distributor, exporter, manufacturer, integrator or EPC contractor — and review the documents they submit.
A declared and reviewed role is not an audit, a certification, an endorsement or a guarantee of performance, solvency or delivery.
Shortlists are built from declared capability against the buyer's stated requirement. Suppliers cannot pay to be listed or shortlisted.
The buyer is told who the contracting supplier is before contracting, and carries out its own due diligence before signing.
Supplier identities are shared privately with the buyer and are not published in a public directory.

Fact-checking policy

Significant claims are tied to an entry in our public source registry, with publisher, publication or revision date and the date the source was last accessed.
Primary and institutional sources take precedence. We do not use another marketplace or a competitor's page as the main source for a fact where a primary source exists.
Facts that cannot be verified are omitted rather than softened with vague wording.
Country, cost and regulatory content is reviewed on a rolling basis; the material-update date on the page reflects the last substantive review.

Corrections policy

Report an error to support@seedmatchgroup.com with the page URL and, where possible, the source that contradicts it.
We acknowledge reports, verify against primary sources, and correct or remove the affected content.
Material corrections are reflected in the page's update date. Where a claim proved unverifiable, it is removed rather than reworded.

Financing disclosure

SeedMatch Group is not a bank, lender, financing institution, credit provider or investment adviser. It may help eligible project sponsors prepare information and submit requests to independent financing providers. All eligibility, due diligence, credit decisions, pricing, security, terms and disbursement are controlled solely by those providers.
No page on this site is an offer of credit, a commitment to lend, a credit assessment or investment advice.
Where financing preparation is described, it means helping a sponsor assemble information and submit a request to independent providers who decide independently.

Commercial disclosure

Buyers pay no fee to submit a brief or to receive supplier introductions.
Suppliers do not pay to be listed or to appear in a shortlist.
SeedMatch Group may be compensated by a supplier or provider on a concluded transaction. Where a fee applies to a specific engagement, it is disclosed to the buyer before commitment.
The buyer contracts and is invoiced directly by the selected supplier. SeedMatch Group is not a party to that agreement and does not hold buyer funds.
