What SeedMatch Group is not

  • Not a greenhouse or equipment manufacturer.
  • Not a seed breeder, seed producer or holder of plant variety rights.
  • Not an EPC contractor, and does not construct projects.
  • Not an engineering firm; it does not issue structural, hydraulic or electrical designs.
  • Not an agronomy practice; it does not issue final crop plans, variety recommendations or plant-protection advice.
  • Not a bank, lender, credit provider, insurer or investment adviser.
  • Not a party to the supply, EPC or financing agreement, and does not hold buyer funds.

Commercial disclosure

  • Buyers pay no fee to submit a brief or to receive supplier introductions.
  • Suppliers do not pay to be listed or to appear in a shortlist.
  • SeedMatch Group may be compensated by a supplier or provider on a concluded transaction. Where a fee applies to a specific engagement, it is disclosed to the buyer before commitment.
  • The buyer is told who the contracting supplier is before contracting, and contracts and is invoiced directly by that supplier.
  • Supplier identities are not published in public directories; introductions are made privately to the buyer.

Professional responsibility

Project-specific agronomy and engineering are provided by the selected qualified independent professionals and contractors. SeedMatch Group gathers requirements, structures the pre-RFQ brief and coordinates independent proposals; it does not design greenhouses, specify crop plans, select varieties or deliver construction.

Financing disclosure

SeedMatch Group is not a bank, lender, financing institution, credit provider or investment adviser. It may help eligible project sponsors prepare information and submit requests to independent financing providers. All eligibility, due diligence, credit decisions, pricing, security, terms and disbursement are controlled solely by those providers.

Performance qualifier

Performance depends on environment, management, disease pressure, water quality, planting date and local agronomic conditions.

Documentation responsibility

The selected exporter and buyer are responsible for required seed documentation and import approvals. SeedMatch Group may help coordinate information but does not issue certificates or regulatory approvals.

Supplier qualification methodology

These definitions govern how supplier status is described anywhere on this site. Where a page says “screened” or “qualified”, it means exactly what is defined here — nothing more.

Registered supplier
A company that has submitted its details to SeedMatch Group or has been identified as potentially relevant. No checks have been completed. Registration alone is never described publicly as qualification.
Screened supplier
A company whose legal registration, declared scope, export capability and stated certifications have been reviewed against the information available at the time of review. Screening is a desk review, not an audit.
Qualified supplier
A screened supplier that has additionally been contacted, confirmed active in the relevant category and market, and has provided references or delivered-project information. Qualification reflects commercial suitability for a specific brief.
Matched supplier
A qualified supplier invited to respond to a specific buyer brief, whose scope, capacity and market coverage fit that project.
What qualification is not
SeedMatch Group does not perform factory audits, technical or product certification, agronomic approval or financial guarantees, and does not warrant supplier performance. Certification remains the responsibility of the accredited certifying body; performance remains the responsibility of the contracting supplier.
Network size claims
SeedMatch Group does not publish a supplier count or a country count as a factual claim. Network coverage is described qualitatively because a documented, continuously verified count is not maintained.

Authoritative source registry

These are the institutional and primary sources our greenhouse, irrigation, water, seed and financing content is built on. Each entry records the publisher, the tier and the date a member of the editorial team last confirmed it still supports the claims that reference it.
