Commercial seed suppliers, bulk vegetable seeds and crop output sourcing
Reviewed 2026-10-19
Short answer
SeedMatch Group is a human-led sourcing specialist for professional growers, agribusinesses and investors. Buying seed, building a greenhouse and buying or selling harvested crops are three different journeys with different specifications, so each has its own starting point below. We do not produce or sell seed, hold stock, publish live inventory, or settle payments, finance or logistics. Qualified requests start at USD 250,000 total value; buyers use the service free.
1. Commercial seed sourcing
Wholesale and bulk vegetable, greenhouse and field seed for commercial planting programmes.
Start a seed request2. Greenhouse projects
Capital procurement for structures, climate, irrigation and fertigation. Estimate first, then brief suppliers.
Commercial greenhouse cost calculator3. Crop output / offtake
Harvested fruit, vegetables and grains. Buyers send a produce specification; producers submit supply privately.

What to specify for a seed request
- Crop, species and variety or hybrid name (or the trait target if variety is open)
- Seed treatment required or excluded (untreated, fungicide, organic-compliant)
- Germination and purity minimums, lot test date and seed-count or weight basis
- Acceptable origin countries and production season
- Certification and phytosanitary documents needed by the destination's plant-health authority
- Sowing season and latest acceptable delivery date
- Quantity (kg, seeds or units), packaging and destination country
Submit these through the seed sourcing request. Germination, lot and certificate data are recorded as supplier-declared until documents are reviewed.
What to specify for crop output
- Crop, variety and grade or size specification
- Volume per shipment and per season or year
- Harvest or supply window
- Acceptable growing regions or origin countries
- Packaging, cold-chain and labelling needs
- Destination, Incoterm and required food-safety or phytosanitary documents
Producers and exporters: submit supply privately. Buyers: send a fresh produce RFQ. No counterparty contact details are shared before staff review and consent.
How this differs from other sourcing models
Based on publicly visible features of common model types; no partnership with any named company is implied.
| Model | Typical examples | What the buyer gets | SeedMatch position |
|---|---|---|---|
| Open listings / direct contact | Education-plus-marketplace sites, open produce boards | Fast discovery; buyer screens counterparties alone | Not our model — no public seller or supplier listings, no direct messaging. |
| Verified RFQ marketplaces | Profile + RFQ + quote-comparison platforms; seed marketplaces with variety-trial data | Self-serve RFQs and quote comparison | We use structured briefs, but a sourcing specialist reviews every request; no self-serve quote board. |
| Managed sourcing / trade intelligence | Trade-intelligence and importer-discovery services, produce sourcing programmes | Data, programmes, sometimes finance | Closest to our role: human-led review and confidential coordination. We do not provide finance, payments, escrow, inspection or logistics. |
| Vertically integrated producers | Seed companies with breeding and distributor networks (e.g. multinational breeding companies) | Their own portfolio through their channels | SeedMatch is not a seed producer and sells no seed; we help buyers prepare and compare requests across sources. |
