Fertilizers & plant nutrition

Water Soluble Fertilizers for Fertigation Programmes

Fully water soluble fertilizers exist to pass through emitters without residue. The commercial risk is not price but insolubles, incompatible salt combinations and chelate breakdown at the pH of the irrigation water — each of which shows up as blocked drippers weeks after delivery. Specification therefore starts with the water analysis, not with the product catalogue.

Commercial applications

  • Greenhouse and screenhouse fertigation of fruiting vegetables
  • Open-field drip programmes on high-value crops
  • Soilless and substrate production with recirculation
  • Foliar tank mixes where full solubility is mandatory

Who procures this

  • Protected cropping operations
  • High-value open-field horticulture
  • Nurseries and propagation facilities
  • Export fruit and vegetable producers

Why it matters commercially

Emitter protection

Low-insolubles grades and correct stock-tank separation keep uniformity high and cut filter and line-flushing labour.

Recipe control

Single salts plus targeted complexes let the agronomist build a recipe per crop stage instead of buying a fixed blend.

Auditability

Lot-level certificates of analysis make deviation traceable when crop symptoms appear.
