Agricultural Drone Center — Spraying, Seeding, Mapping, NDVI, Thermal & LiDAR

Commercial agricultural spraying drone applying precision crop protection over a soybean field at golden hour
Precision spraying drone in commercial soybean production — vendor-neutral coverage across DJI Agriculture, XAG, Hylio, EAVISION and other qualified manufacturers.

A single vendor-neutral hub for commercial agricultural drones: spraying and seeding platforms, crop-monitoring and inspection drones, NDVI and multispectral cameras, thermal and LiDAR payloads, autonomous fleets, fleet management, maintenance, training and country-specific drone regulations — connected to the RFQ Builder and to project financing.

SeedMatchGroup specifies drone hardware, payloads and software inside the buyer's RFQ; we do not sell drones directly. All commercial terms are handled privately.

Drone platforms

Match the airframe to the job — spray, seed, fertilise, monitor or map — before evaluating brand.

Payloads, software & services

Agronomist reviewing NDVI crop-health heatmap on a tablet next to a drone with multispectral and thermal payload
NDVI, multispectral and thermal payloads turn every flight into a scouting mission — feeding variable-rate seeding, fertigation and spraying.

Integrated with the wider project

Agricultural drones are one layer of a modern commercial project — irrigation, greenhouses, engineering, solar and financing sit alongside.

The buyer journey

Buyer calculators

Size the drone programme before the RFQ

Five planning tools for agricultural drone buyers — spray coverage and daily throughput, spray volume and chemical mix, battery-fleet flight-time, own-vs-contract ROI, and mapping GSD with flight lines. Runs entirely in your browser, no login. Feed the outputs straight into the drone RFQ below.

Spray coverage & daily throughput

Estimate hectares per day for a spraying drone based on swath, speed, tank size, application rate and cycle time. Field efficiency covers overlap, turns, waypoints and pilot pauses.

Daily throughput (ha)

Daily chemical mix (L)

Spray volume & chemical mix

Plan water volumes, product quantities and tank refills for a spraying campaign. Low-volume UAV rates concentrate the active ingredient — always follow the label.

Battery fleet & flight-time planner

Size the battery pool, chargers and generator so the drone isn't waiting on power. Charge throughput usually caps daily hectares, not flight time.

FAQ

Which agricultural drone type is right for a commercial farm?
It depends on the job. Spraying drones (T-series and equivalents, 30–70 L payload) fit high-throughput crop protection on row crops, orchards and rice. Seeding and fertilizer drones extend the same platform to cover crops, over-seeding and granular top-dressing. Fixed-wing and multirotor mapping drones with NDVI, multispectral, thermal and LiDAR payloads fit scouting, drainage, biomass and elevation surveys. Most commercial operators run a small fleet — one spraying platform plus one imaging platform — rather than one 'do-everything' drone.
Drone spraying vs traditional boom or aerial spraying?
Drone spraying reduces water and chemical volumes, handles terrain a self-propelled sprayer cannot, and closes the window between scouting and application. Ground boom sprayers still win on very high daily hectares in flat, uniform fields, and manned aerial application still wins on very large single-block operations. In practice, drones displace the middle: fragmented parcels, sloped terrain, orchards, spot-treatment and any farm that already runs precision agronomy.
Does SeedMatchGroup sell agricultural drones?
No. SeedMatchGroup is a human-led global sourcing platform supported by proprietary technology. For agricultural drones — DJI Agriculture, XAG, Hylio, Guardian, EAVISION, TTA, TopXGun, JOUAV, ABZ, Yamaha and other qualified manufacturers — we specify the requirement inside the buyer's RFQ and open it to the full field of vetted global suppliers. Vendor-neutral, buyer-first.
Can drones and precision-agriculture equipment be financed?
Yes. Agricultural equipment leasing, working-capital lines, project finance and export credit facilities routinely cover drone fleets, ground stations, batteries, chargers and software. Run the pre-qualifier before locking supplier commitments so financing structure informs the specification.
What data drives a drone RFQ?
Job type (spray, seed, fertilizer, map, scout), payload, tank/hopper capacity, swath width, flight time, battery count and charger throughput, RTK/PPK, camera stack (RGB, multispectral, thermal, LiDAR), autonomy level, obstacle avoidance, mission-planning software, local regulatory compliance and after-sales support. Well-specified RFQs get better prices and honest lead times.
Are drone regulations different by country?
Yes — significantly. Drone class, pilot licensing, BVLOS permissions, spray-drone chemical approvals and import rules differ across the EU (EASA), USA (FAA Part 137), Brazil (ANAC), India (DGCA), China (CAAC), MENA, Sub-Saharan Africa and ASEAN. The RFQ captures the destination country so quotes include compliant hardware, documentation and training routes.
