Mapping & Scouting Drone Supplier Coverage
SeedMatchGroup screens mapping and scouting drone platforms — fixed-wing, multi-rotor, VTOL — plus multispectral, thermal, RGB and LiDAR payloads and agronomy analytics against acreage, revisit frequency and integration with farm-management software. Shortlists are released only through the RFQ flow.
Private sourcing platform. Supplier identities, datasheets, price bands and lead times are released only through the RFQ flow — no public supplier directory.
Coverage & Capabilities
What the screened drone network covers. Buyer briefs are matched against the full field of qualified manufacturers and integrators.
Fixed-wing for large-acre survey (>500 ha per flight), VTOL for mixed missions and multi-rotor for detailed scouting of orchards, greenhouses and trial blocks.
Multispectral (NDVI, NDRE, red-edge), thermal (canopy stress, irrigation audit), RGB (orthomosaic, plant count) and LiDAR (elevation, canopy volume) matched to agronomy KPIs.
Centimetre-grade positioning for orthomosaics, boundary mapping, VRA prescription generation and elevation modelling.
Agronomy analytics platforms, VRA prescription generation and integration with farm-management, irrigation and fertigation controllers.
Fully autonomous mission planning, geofence enforcement and audit trails suitable for corporate and lender reporting.
OEM pilot training, GIS operator training and standard operating procedures for repeatable, comparable seasonal data sets.
Screening & Qualification
How drone suppliers enter and stay in the screened network.
Sample orthomosaics, radiometric-calibration reports and time-series comparability data reviewed before shortlisting.
Platform legally importable and operable in the target country under the appropriate BVLOS or VLOS regime.
Sensor recalibration, firmware and workflow support available in the buyer's region confirmed during qualification.

FAQ
- Multispectral or thermal — which do I need?
- Multispectral (NDVI, NDRE) is the default for stress detection and variable-rate prescription. Thermal is decisive for irrigation audit and canopy-stress work. Many programs use both — the RFQ captures the agronomy KPI so the sensor is right-sized.
- Fixed-wing or multi-rotor?
- Fixed-wing wins on acreage per flight (>500 ha). Multi-rotor is preferred for detailed scouting, trial plots, orchards and greenhouses. VTOL bridges the two for mixed missions.
- Do I own the data?
- Data-ownership terms are part of the shortlist — SeedMatchGroup filters analytics platforms so the buyer retains ownership of imagery, prescriptions and season history.
