Seeding & Spreading Drone Supplier Coverage
SeedMatchGroup screens seeding, spreading and pelletised-seed drone platforms against seed type, granule size, target rate and terrain. Hopper calibration, spread-uniformity data and shortlists are released only through the RFQ flow.
Private sourcing platform. Supplier identities, datasheets, price bands and lead times are released only through the RFQ flow — no public supplier directory.
Coverage & Capabilities
What the screened drone network covers. Buyer briefs are matched against the full field of qualified manufacturers and integrators.
20–60 L hoppers with centrifugal spreader plates, sized to seed type, granule density and hectare-per-flight target.
Cover-crop overseeding, aerial rice seeding, reforestation with pelletised seed, granular fertiliser top-dressing and bait / biological release.
Calibration procedures and field-test spread-pattern data verified for each seed or granule type before shortlisting.
Terrain-following, obstacle avoidance and swarm operation for rough or inaccessible ground where wheeled equipment is not viable.
Variable-rate prescriptions from mapping-drone data or agronomy software applied by seeding drones for zoned overseeding and top-dressing.
Spreader-plate wear, motor / ESC replacement and battery-fleet lifecycle assessed as part of qualification.
Screening & Qualification
How drone suppliers enter and stay in the screened network.
Hopper geometry and metering verified for the target seed size, coating and granule density before shortlisting.
Operable in the target country for the intended mission (cover crops, reforestation, top-dressing) before shortlisting.
Real hectare-per-day and spread-CV data at comparable payload and wind conditions reviewed during qualification.

FAQ
- Is drone seeding viable for cover crops?
- Yes — drone overseeding into standing cash crops is increasingly used where wheeled equipment cannot enter without damaging canopy or compacting soil. The RFQ captures seed size, target rate and canopy stage so only compatible platforms are shortlisted.
- Can drones apply granular fertiliser?
- Yes for top-dressing at 20–150 kg/ha; heavier programmes are still ground-applied. Spreader-plate wear and granule sphericity dominate lifecycle cost, and are captured in the RFQ.
- How is drone seeding priced?
- Typically per hectare or per flight-hour, with seed and pelletisation separately quoted. Shortlist includes both owner-operate and contract-service options where available.
