LIGHTING
Commercial greenhouse lighting systems
Supplemental lighting is bought on light delivered to the crop, not on fixture price. Source LED top light, inter-lighting, photoperiod and control packages specified against your latitude, season and crop light requirement.
SeedMatchGroup helps buyers source greenhouse equipment, agricultural seeds, fertilizers, irrigation systems, pumps, solar systems, drones, cooling systems and complete agriculture project suppliers worldwide.
SeedMatchGroup is supplier-neutral and helps buyers compare greenhouse, seed, fertilizer, irrigation and agriculture project suppliers worldwide. It does not manufacture, distribute or sell equipment or inputs.
How is commercial greenhouse lighting specified?
Greenhouse lighting is specified by the light the crop needs, not by fixture wattage: the target daily light integral (DLI) for the crop, the natural light the site delivers each month, and the installed photon flux density in µmol/m²/s needed to close the gap over a defined photoperiod. From there the specification covers spectrum, uniformity, mounting height, dimming and control, electrical load per hectare and fixture efficacy in µmol/J — the figures that make two offers comparable.
Product and supplier categories
LED top light
Fixed and dimmable top lighting, mounting systems and uniformity layouts.
Inter-lighting
In-canopy modules for tall vine crops such as tomato, cucumber and pepper.
Photoperiod & low-intensity
Day-length control and cyclic lighting for ornamentals, propagation and nursery.
Drivers & electrical
Drivers, distribution, transformers, cabling and load profile per hectare.
Controls & dimming
Light-sum-based dimming, integration with the climate computer and data logging.
Blackout & screening
Blackout screens for photoperiod control and light-abatement compliance.
