A 200 µm UV-stabilised film with 40-mesh insect netting and correct vent ratio controls thrips and virus pressure; automated EC/pH dosing on coir keeps fruit size and colour uniform enough for organised retail.

Well-managed blocks plan for 90–200 tonnes per hectare per crop cycle. The upper band needs coir, automated fertigation, disciplined pruning and reliable thrips control.
The Pune–Nashik belt, Bengaluru rural, Himachal's Solan and Kullu valleys and the Nilgiris all give the moderate temperatures capsicum needs. Hot plains require cooling and change the budget entirely.
In the recommended belts, no. Natural ventilation with foggers and shade is usually enough. Cooling is only justified where summer daytime temperatures regularly exceed the low 30s inside the house.
A grading area, crates, a cold room sized to about two days of peak harvest and a transport plan to the buyer's collection point. Retail programmes will also ask for traceability records.
