Heated substrate production over two cycles plans for 250–550 tonnes per hectare per year. Unheated or single-cycle production falls far below that and, more importantly, misses the winter price window.
Because the commercial premium exists only between December and April, when Russian and Kazakh domestic supply is absent. A house that cannot hold night temperature through that period earns summer prices for a winter-priced capital structure.
Russia is the dominant destination, followed by Kazakhstan and Belarus, all reachable by refrigerated road within three to five days. Grading, packing format and pre-cooling should be agreed with the receiving buyer before the crop is planted.
Canal and well water in parts of Bukhara and the lower basin carries elevated EC and sodium. Specify an analysis before design, then size filtration, blending or RO polishing accordingly — substrate hydroponics is far less forgiving of sodium than soil.
