Established Cavendish blocks with good drainage and irrigation plan for 40–65 tonnes per hectare per year, roughly 2,000–3,200 export boxes, once the plantation reaches steady ratoon production.
Urabá in Antioquia (Apartadó, Turbo, Carepa) and Magdalena around Santa Marta and Ciénaga are the export belts, with La Guajira and Valle del Cauca supplying additional volume.
Biosecurity is designed in from the start: perimeter control, vehicle and footwear disinfection stations, dedicated tools per block, drainage that prevents cross-block water movement, and certified tissue-culture planting material.
First harvest typically comes 12–14 months after planting, with full production from roughly month 20. Working capital for that ramp is usually financed separately from the infrastructure CAPEX.
