Natural or forced ventilation for a commercial greenhouse?
Natural ventilation (roof + side vents) works well when opening area is ≥15–25% of floor area, prevailing wind is usable and the greenhouse is not too wide. Forced ventilation (pad-and-fan or exhaust fans) becomes mandatory in hot arid climates, very wide houses or where humidity/temperature must be tightly controlled. Most modern designs combine both: natural ventilation for shoulder seasons, forced/evaporative for summer peaks.
